As the camera is operating, it is logging information about what is happening. Normally these log files are lost when the camera is turned off or rebooted.

If you encounter a problem while using the camera, we may ask you for the log files to help us figure out what went wrong. This typically means you want the camera to save the log files to the SD card so you can easily access them.

You can have the camera save the log files to the SD card by performing the following steps:

  1. Install the SD card in your laptop or computer.
  2. Create a folder (directory) on the SD card called var
  3. Inside the var folder create another directory called log
  4. Eject the SD card from your computer, wait 10 seconds and remove the card.
  5. Install the SD card in the camera and power on the camera.
  6. Operate the camera normally. When you encounter the problem, try to unmount the SD card.
  7. Power off the camera, remove the SD card and install it in your laptop or computer.
  8. In the SD card var folder, inside the log folder, you should find files names messages, messages.0, messages.1, etc. Zip all those files and email them to info@edgertronic.com
